Microsoft introduced Query Store in SQL Server 2016 as a new feature and promised that it now becomes easy to analyze the query workload and plan regressions on a database level.
In this session, you will learn how Query Store works internally and understand how to configure Query Store for your needs to avoid common pitfalls and interpret the available reports and new database management views to get the best out of the new feature.
We will see how we can use Query Store to detect plan regression caused by parameter sniffing and by the new cardinality estimator and how to fix it.
