Abstract
Microsoft has introduced Table Variable Deferred Compilation as part of Intelligent Query Processing in SQL Server 2019 to improves plan quality and overall performance for queries referencing table variables. In this session, we will use some practical examples to understand how this feature actually works and what its limitations are.
Microsoft has introduced the new feature APPROX_COUNT_DISTINCT in Microsoft SQL Server 2019 to speed up approximate count of unique values in a large dataset and save query resources. In this session, we will evaluate the performance improvements of this feature using different scenarios.
